Some hotels boast that they are typical of a country or a big city, such as:

有些飯店誇口稱，他們是鄉村或大城市的典型代表，例如：

1.    “Life is magnifique.” 『豪華壯觀的生活』 “Discover world class Hotels with French elegance.”

『來發現我們帶有法國高雅的世界頂級的旅館』– (Sofitel Luxury Hotel)

【Life is full of magnificence? It does not necessarily mean that the hotel is French, though】

居住本飯店充滿豪華壯麗，雖然未必意謂是法國飯店。

2.    “London has a new landmark.  Sightseeing begins in the lobby.” 『倫敦有一個新的路標。觀光從飯店大廳開始。』

【It is a marvelous ad or nearly an exaggeration to compare a hotel’s lobby to a new landmark. 】 (這是幾近誇大的廣告，把飯店大廳比喻成路標。)

【Our hotel can serve as standing for or a miniature of London.  In the lobby, guests will find a lot of things worthy to be seen. Well, they really have something to brag about. Other examples like…】:

『本飯店代表倫敦市的雛型。在飯店大廳內，貴賓可以找到許多值得一看的東西。這些東西真有值得誇大之處。其他例如… 』

3. “Moscow Now, the Good, the Bad, & the Ugly.” 『住在莫斯科本飯店內，您可以看得到莫斯科的現在，包括好的，壞的與醜陋的一面。』

【They presume that guests would not like what Moscow used to be.  But what actually about the naked Moscow? 】

廣告詞隱含貴賓不喜歡從前的莫斯科，但請問真正的莫斯科呢?

4.    “Australia otherworldly Arnhem Land houses the spirits of the ancient Aborigines.”- The Serpent Lair Hotel: 『在澳洲世外桃園的Arnhem Land旅館中，我們擁有古代土著的精神氣氛。』

【Other than noisy modern hotels, this hotel may be one at a farm or a village】

在吵雜的現代飯店之外，本飯店可能有農塲或村莊內.

5.    “The Los Angeles hotel is as much a Cultural Institution as it is a place to lay one’s head.”

『洛杉磯飯店的身分既是文化機構，也是安眠之處。』

【Besides being a nice place to put up, this hotel comprises many exhibits of culture. 】 lay one’s head = sleep

除了是投宿的好地方外，本旅館含有許多豐富的文化展覽品。
