小笑話

下列是一些外國小笑話，內含機智與幽默，當然不似我們日常一看就能接受的東方笑話，因為不同文化產生不同的思維：

1)     Q: A car company’s having a sale. A car that was $50,000 before the sale is now 30 percent off. What is the new price?

一家汽車商工在拍賣。從前一台賣五萬，現在賣七折。請問新價格多少?

A: Still too expensive.

答：還是太貴

2)     Q: You are at a friend's party. Six cupcakes are distributed among nine plates, and there is no more than one cake per pate. What is the probability of receiving a plate with a cake on it?

你參加朋友的餐會。六個紙杯蛋糕量分給九個小盤子。每一小盤子只裝一份蛋糕，問每一小盤子得到一份蛋糕的可能性有多大?

A: None, if my sister is invited too.

答：若我姊姊參加，一點機會也沒有。

3. Q: A new car costs $32,000. It is expected to depreciate 12% each year for 4 years and then depreciated 8% each year thereafter. Find the value of the car in 6 years.

一部新車值3萬2仟元。預估每年貶12%連續4年，然後每年再貶8%。請問6年後值多少錢。

A: No one will drive cars in 6 years with fuel going up like it is.  

答：六年後無人會開此車，因汽油漲這麼厲害。

4. Q: To change centimeters to meters you ____________ 

如何把公分換算為公尺

A: take out centi.

答: 把centi (百分)拿掉就好

5. Q: Adam cuts his arm. Blood gushes out and is red in color. What does this show?

亞當割傷手臂。紅色鮮血流出。這表示什麽?

A: He is not a robot, he is a real boy.

答：他不是機器人。

6. Q: What does "terminal illness" mean?

何謂末期疾病?

A: When you become ill at the airport.

答：在機塲得的病 (terminal另作終點站解, terminal 是双關語-pun)

7. Q: What happens during puberty to a boy?

思春期男孩會如阿?

A: He says goodbye to his childhood and enters adultery.

答：他結束童年期，而進入不貞期(想女孩)。(adultery= faithlessness)
