【汽車大王事業經營名言錄】-(1)

Henry Ford-亨利福特-生於 July 30, 1863，卒於 April 7, 1947。美國工業家，創立福特汽車公司，贊助發展大量生產的裝配線的技術 (assembly line) 。他雖未發明汽車或裝配線，但他製造的車子是一般中等階級買得起 (affordable) ，使汽車從昂貴的好奇物品成為實用工具 (practical convenience) ，而深深地影響了20世紀全球界的全景。難怪前福特總統於尼克森被彈劾離職繼任總統時說，”I am a Ford, not a Lincoln.” 我是普通人，而非高貴人士。

他設立福特基金會(Ford Foundation)使其家族永遠掌管公司，他是位鉅富，2008年其家族總資產為1,881億美元。

因此從下列他的名言中，應可略窺一二其經營生意的獨到之處：

   第一台福特車

1.     “It is not the employer who pays the wages. Employers only handle the money. It is the customer who pays the wages.”

付你工資的人不是老闆。老闆不過管錢。付你工資的是顧客

2. “Don't find fault, find a remedy.” 別挑剔，能找出補救辦法才是上策。

3.“If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right.”

如果你認為你能或不能做某事，你就對了。

4. “You can't build a reputation on what you are going to do.”-

你無法在你即將做的事情上去建立一個聲望。

 

5. “Quality means doing it right when no one is looking.”-品質意謂別人不在看時也要做

對。

6. “You will find men who want to be carried on the shoulders of others, who think that the world owes them a living. They don't seem to see that we must all lift together and pull together.”

你會發現有些人要依賴別人，他們認為這個世界要養活他們。但他們似乎不明白我們大家要互助互補。

7. “I don’t know whether Napoleon did or did not try to get across there and I don’t care. I don’t know much about history, and I wouldn’t give a nickel for all the history in the world. It means nothing to me. History is more or less bunk. It's tradition. We don't want tradition. We want to live in the present and the only history that is worth a tinker's damn is the history we make today.”

我不明白拿破崙是否試圖明白，而且也不介意。我對歷史認識不多，也不管全世界所有的歷史。它對我無意義。歷史對我多少是騙人的鬼話。它是傳統而我們不要傳統。我們要活在當下，而值得一位粗級工人詛咒的唯一歷史，就是今天我們創造的。

 8. “Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants so long as it is black.”

任何一位顧客有權選定他喜歡的任何噴漆顏色，只要是黑色就好。
