【汽車大王事業經營名言錄】-(2)

Henry Ford-亨利福特-生於 July 30, 1863，卒於 April 7,
1947。美國工業家，創立福特汽車公司，贊助發展大量生產的裝配線的技術 (assembly line) 。他雖未發明汽車或裝配線，但他製造的車子是一般中等階級買得起 (affordable) ，使汽車從昂貴的好奇物品成為實用工具 (practical convenience) ，而深深地影響了20世紀全球界的全景。難怪前福特總統於尼克森被彈劾離職繼任總統時說，”I am a Ford, not a Lincoln.” 我是普通人，而非高貴人士。
他設立福特基金會(Ford Foundation)使其家族永遠掌管公司，他是位鉅富，2008年其家族總資產為1,881億美元。
因此從下列他的名言中，應可略窺一二其經營生意的獨到之處。
9. “A business that makes nothing but money is a poor business.”
一筆生意除了賺錢之外，別無所得，就是不好的生意。

10. “I will build a car for the great multitude. It will be large enough for the family, but small enough for the individual to run and care for. It will be constructed of the best materials, by the best men to be hired, after the simplest designs that modern engineering can devise. 我要為大多數人造一部汽車。它大到容納整家人，但體積也可以小得容納一個人來開、來喜歡。這部車的材料是最好的，最好的技工來造，仿造現代技術工程所能設計的最簡單圖案。但其售價是薪水階級無人買不起。

像幸福一樣，財富無法直接追求就可獲得。它是提供別人有用的服務後，自然就會產生的副產品。
16. “A bore is a person who opens his mouth and puts his feats in it.”
令人厭煩的人是，一張口就不斷吹噓自己本領的人。
