By itself, practice does not make perfect. Those of us with a ten-year-old son practicing the trumpet may understand that.
If you watch a game, it's fun. If you play, it's recreation. If you work at it, it's golf.
單獨地,熟並不生巧。我們如果有一位練習吹小喇叭的十歲兒子,也許就會明白這個道理。看你比賽,好玩,下去打是消遣,正經玩,它是高爾夫球

Do not believe in miracles, rely on them.
不可相信出現奇蹟,但可以依賴它們。

If I have any genius at all, it must be a genius for play. I love to play--I love fishing and hunting and trapshooting and Ping-Pong and chess and pool and billiards and driving a motor-car, and at times I love golf, when I can get the shots going somewhere near right. It seems I love almost any pursuit except work.
如果我具備任何天才,那一定是玩的方面。我喜歡玩-包括釣魚、打獵、飛靶射擊、乒乓球、下棋、撞球與騎摩托車,而且我三不五時喜歡高爾夫球,當我揮桿出去,球飛向接近正確位置時。似乎我幾乎喜歡任何事,就是不喜歡工作。

【朋友,若你是pro,一定有同感,倘你仍是『幼歯的』,你會半信半疑,但當你也體會到這些高爾夫球『哲學』時,自己應也是老手了。】
