1) *十按九無影-十次約會九次不到 (台語「按」有約定之意)
Nine times out of then, a person failes to show up as he
promises.
A person who often breaks his promise to do something for
others.
2) 呣知香臭 (不知好壞/ 不領情)
直譯：One
cannot differ between what is fragrant and what is stink.
意譯：One fails
to appreciate others’ good intentions. (in accusing others)
3) 粗腳重蹄-指責他人做事不細心
One moves or walks rather awkwardly. (One should be more graceful in actions.)
4) 龜脚也是龜內肉-龜脚屬於整隻龜的一部分
意譯：小損失是全部的一部分
A minor loss is included in the whole loss of someone.
A small portion of principal is counted/ or included in the
whole principal.
5) *水到船着浮
(水到渠成)
When water flows in, the boat will float. / A boat cannot
move without water.
6) *剖柴含柴砧-劈柴時連墊柴的砧也一起砍下；對他人善意提供對自己的消息不領情
One is so
unappreciative as to disclose the name of an informer of a secret.
