Kazuo Ishiguro (石黑一雄)-日籍英國人，嬴得諾貝爾文學獎。Ishiguro, 62, author of The Remains of the Day, has "uncovered the abyss beneath our illusory sense of connection with the world," the Swedish Academy said in the announcement Thursday morning.-現年62歲，作品是『白天的遺跡』-用強烈的感情揭露和世界關連的幻夢深渊。Born in Nagasaki, Ishiguro moved to Britain aged five when his father took a job as an oceanographer. He has said he does not see his work in the vein of Japanese literature, and that his parents never planned to stay in England as long as they did. 《編者評論》

諾貝爾文学獎的審核，不在文章内容，寫作風格，而在闡述人性，不論你用何技巧。若以此標準来看，1930 年代的芥川龍之介，極可能早就獲獎，可惜當時尚未有此殊荣的設立。芥川的「羅生門」一書，影響世界文壇甚鉅。相对。大陸莫言的「红高樑」一書，本人認為也是如此。只是東西文化差異，民族性不同，红書的劇情確使西方讀者觉得驚訝。但石黑一書則大部分以西方思維来看人性。這点在評審角度比較佔優勢。莫言红書的一大敗筆是，硬要把中國抗日戰争的情節，來搶風光。這也正是中國人的政治掛帥駕於一切。故也有人說，莫言的獲獎多少和國際政治影響有関。瑞典人也多少想捧一捧中國，以相對取得在中、瑞两國貿易的利益。
